So, yeah, it’s been a bit quiet on this front, but there’s lots in the works as usual, about which more later. Things that have happened while I’ve been away include an interview for the Quietus, another interview for Resident Advisor, some year end picks and related nods for Pears and Vaporware (thanks to Jason Anderson/DRAFT Records, Geeta Dayal for Frieze, Rory Gibb for the Quietus, Rabih Beaini for Ruptured, Boomkat, Further Records for Boomkat, Lawrence English for Collapse Board, Philip Sherburne for Spin, Brandon Bussolini for Dusted and LWE, and Sam Davies and Adam Harper for the Wire, among others), and me hitting hibernation mode cleaning my attic very slowly and making lissajous figures all day. For what it’s worth, I didn’t make a list because I could hardly figure out where to start; I simply can’t remember another year in which I heard as many brilliant new records as I did in 2012. Thanks everyone who made them, and thanks especially to John Elliott, Peter Rehberg, and Lawrence English for helping me make my own!
But anyway, I digress; the first major announcement of 2013 is that I’m now working with Ollie Seaman at Elastic Artists for bookings in the UK, Europe, Australia, and Asia. For those of you keeping score at home, that means that it’ll be much easier to get me to come to wherever you are this year; hope to see you there!
